>> Marketing Manager, Household
The Marketing Manager role is to drive sales, market penetration and brand recognition through the execution of marketing strategy, assure the company’s brand is upheld and effective and coordinate marketing functions; consistent with business goals.
Some of the primary job responsibilities are defined below:
- Provide strategic execution for: brand, market and customer segmentation, modeling, utilization of social media, market and product positioning, distribution channels, customer, market and competitive research, go-to-market sales tools, and penetration plans with the intent to maximize revenue, market penetration and brand recognition.
- Successfully implement marketing plans and associated programs for existing and new products.
- Develop consistent understanding and communication of the company brand.
- Assure immediate and appropriate response to market opportunities.
- Develop goals and metrics that monitor and analyze sales and consumer behavior.
- Create programs to utilize social media forums, Web 2.0, etc., to increase sales, market penetration and brand recognition.
- Manage the marketing elements of new product launches.
- Support an integrated global web strategy seeking to build brand, create a consistent global presence.
- Develop marketing initiatives to increase sales through communication with the customer, consumer awareness and consumer loyalty.
- Assist in sales and new business development, including key account presentations.
- Manage and attend tradeshows to assure company image and brand consistency, effectiveness of PR and marketing communications.
Requirements include:
- Experience marketing consumer goods in a Direct to Consumer model, push and pull through experience as well.
- Experience tracking marketing success through sales metrics.
- Experience using the web to communicate, brand and sell, i.e. SEM, SEO, social media.
- International experience in marketing to different Global customers
- Experience in the oversight of major web-sites servicing both B2B and B2C customers.

>> Direct Household Sales Consultant, Mandarin
This is a part time (evenings & weekends), commission based position
POSITION PURPOSE:
Effectively and consistently close sales for the products given to sell, through all media available. Properly code and process lead requests and orders using bilingual language skills, Mandarin/English
Some of the primary job responsibilities are defined below:
- Immediately respond to consumer inquiries that come through the Direct Household Sales Center via all media, i.e. phone, email, web communications (i.e. live chat), fax, and direct customer contact, effectively closing the sale.
- Qualify customers to determine their wants and needs regarding products, and communicate how the benefits and features of Vitamix products meet and exceed their requirements to buy, creating a loyal customer.
- Take full advantage of all outbound contact opportunities to maintain sales levels.
- Establish rapport with customers, ask open-ended questions and document their responses for future reference.
- Work closely with all household distribution channels to assure accurate information is being obtained from and given to customers.
- Assure accurate and real time data entry of all leads, sales, and customer file updates directly into computer system.
- Confirm all phone data information given by the customer.
- Understand and be able to communicate the differences in all of our products and distribution channels to customers, in a positive, sales oriented fashion.
- Understand and be able to promote our affiliate program when it applies to a customer or potential customer; gathering the necessary information while they are on the phone.
- Record customer feedback.
- Handle consumer complaints and requests.
- Know how to use and perform well with all equipment, software, and media channels.
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times to maximize every opportunity.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Mandarin and English language
- Associate’s degree in business or similar field
- 3-5 years sales, customer service, and/or call center
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite

>> Operations Manager - UK/IE
Vitamix is now seeking a high caliber Operations Manager to structure and execute strategic and tactical operational initiatives; manage daily operations and formalize work plans for the UK/IE direct sales business model. The ability to build relationships with both major accounts and our sales teams will form an important part of the role.
The successful candidate will manage and execute sound Standard Operating Procedures and administrative support. Serve as liaison between UK/IE Operations and the rest of the organization. Work closely with the National Sales Manager-UK to provide the necessary support and information to maximize the potential of the direct sales function in the UK/IE.

>> Graphic Design Supervisor
Description
Vita-Mix is seeking a Graphic Design Supervisor with strong conceptualization skills needed to create modern graphics for both print and Web for our Household Marketing department. The Graphic Design Supervisor position is responsible for the establishment of the visual brand language of the Global Household division. This responsibility includes assisting marketing management in the development of the visual brand language and being able to translate that into design. This includes design, production and distribution of marketing materials. This individual provides the creative talent to incorporate our sales message into a concise and interesting graphic design that communicates our primary selling points and causes the reader to take action.
Some of the responsibilities include
- Work closely with other departments and Direct Response team to design sales driven pieces and create an overall image of marketing and support materials including retail product packaging across all assigned mediums. The emphasis is on printed materials including packaging, advertising, brochures, POP, event materials and trade show displays.
- The Graphics Design Supervisor also provides advice for the web team regarding web, audio, video or other electronic use of graphic messaging.
- Develop the concepts and execution of visual designs according to the project description, as well as providing art direction for video and photo shoots.
- Manage assigned portions of the marketing budget.
- Manage the work and development of staff graphics artists.
- Design, layout and make suggestions to improve sales, marketing, and support materials that are compelling, and effective at driving sales; while reflecting Vita-Mix branding guidelines.
- Be the key contact person for household creative, organizing, tracking and coordinating projects routing through the household creative department to assure they meet customer’s specifications, are completed on time and within budget.
- Lead the evaluation process for new print vendors, freelancers, outside endeavors, and consultants.
- Keep informed of industry developments, new products and trends, recommending applications for product, sales and support material improvements.
- Research and recommend appropriate hardware and graphic software packages to meet objectives.
- Assure graphic files are organized and assessable by all users in and outside the organization.
- Evaluate, track and work with outside vendors, when necessary, to meet objectives.
- Communicate with printers regarding design and color specifications, changes, and corrections.
- Review color proofs and attend press checks when needed.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a design discipline.
- 7 years experience in graphic design, with 2 years as a manager or lead designer.
- Equal proficiency on a Mac and PC.
- Proven experience in design for both print and electronic applications in direct marketing.
- Proficiency in the following design programs: Quark Xpress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3D Studio, Acrobat, Director, InDesign. Knowledge of web graphics programming is a plus.
- Design experience in direct marketing.
- Passion for great design and the hard work required to bring it to life.
- 4 year college degree in the area of graphic design.
